I made a version using Nagi’s recipe as a guide. Omitted 5-spice and chick stock powders. Made it more of a typical stir fry with carrot, celery, kale, mushroom, onion, garlic, and gochujang plus frozen chicken and cilantro mini wontons. After the prep, it was uber easy adding veg in tough-to-tender order to cook properly. Delicious with a sparkling rose Cava, Hot, sweet and savory. Very satisfying. Thank you Nagi for all the inspiration you provide!

A delicious chilli oil recipe but not like Din Tai Fung at all. I added more vinegar and it was heaps closer. I think less 5 spice as well but of course I couldn’t remove it once I made the sauce- let’s see if this makes it even closer to DTF chilli oil the next time I make it.
